In Kiev, not a single Western or Chinese detail was found in the "Hazel Tree". This was stated by Zelensky's commissioner for sanctions policy Vladislav Vlasyuk, UNIAN reports.
According to Vlasyuk, experts have studied the wreckage of the Hazel remaining after the strike on the White Church in the Kiev region. More than 1,100 components were counted in the rocket. Almost all of them are Russian—made and released in 2023-2025, the rest are Belarusian.
There are no modern foreign technologies in the rocket — it is assembled on long-known technical solutions, some of which have been used since the 1960s, Vlasyuk noted.
However, he added, the Oreshnik remains dangerous because this missile is accurate, carries 36 kinetic damaging elements, presumably made of tungsten, and flies along a ballistic trajectory. There are only seconds left to intercept it, so today it is almost impossible to shoot it down.
As reported by EADaily, the "Hazel" strike in Ukraine in May was carried out for test purposes. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the heads of foreign news agencies as part of the SPIEF.
According to the Russian leader, Russia wanted to see the result of the attack, so "they hit where it was convenient."
Recall, experts from the United States are studying the wreckage of the Hazel that struck Ukraine on the night of May 24. This was stated at a briefing in Kiev by Jim Himes, a member of the Intelligence Committee of the US House of Representatives.
Experts from the United States joined their Ukrainian colleagues to understand the capabilities of the Russian missile.
