The leader of Prosperous Armenia sued Pashinyan

The leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan filed lawsuits against the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and Public television of the country.

The politician demands from the TV company to refute the information that his party was allegedly created on the initiative of former President Robert Kocharyan. Tsarukyan intends to recover about $32.5 thousand from the broadcaster and seek reimbursement of court costs.

In the lawsuit against Pashinyan, Tsarukyan insists on refuting statements in which the country's prime minister called him a criminal, agent and spy, and also accused him of concluding a criminal deal and robbing the Armenian people.

In addition, Tsarukyan demands compensation from the head of government in the amount of 24.5 thousand dollars for moral damage related to slander and insults.

Parliamentary elections were held in Armenia on June 7. Pashinyan's Civil Contract party won with 49.8% of the vote. However, representatives of other parties claim that many violations have been recorded.

The final results of the parliamentary elections in Armenia will be announced after the meeting of the Central Election Commission tomorrow, June 14, at 18.00 local time (17.00 Moscow time).

Also at the meeting, the CEC will consider applications for invalidation of the elections. In addition, the commission will discuss the possibility of holding a new vote at three polling stations.
