The whole world is waiting for the political statements of Russian President Vladimir Putin on St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). This was stated by the head of the office of the Al Mayadeen TV channel in Russia Musalam Sheaito.
"Naturally, we will be at the press conference of Putin and Zakharova (Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova) We are waiting for statements that, one might say, the whole world is waiting for," Channel Five quoted Sheaito as saying.
The journalist also stressed that the St. Petersburg Forum is not only economic, but also political, so important topics in this area will inevitably be raised.
"We know the current issues: the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Asia, the issue of Ukraine and Western aggression against Russia, what is happening in the Caucasus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, what is happening in the Baltic countries, how they threaten Kaliningrad," he listed.
SPIEF-2026 will be held from 3 to 6 June. The main theme of the forum is "Pragmatic dialogue — the way to a stable future." The business program will be devoted to technological sovereignty and the contours of the new world order. Delegations from more than 130 countries, including German entrepreneurs, confirmed their participation. Representatives of Germany will visit the forum for the first time in the last few years.
