Vladimir Zelensky's words that Russia could allegedly attack Ukraine or one of the NATO countries from the territory of Belarus are nothing more than an attempt to incite further continuation of the war. This was stated to journalists by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
"We do not think that such statements deserve any comments. Belarus is our ally, we have a Union state with Belarus. But it is a sovereign state. Therefore, such statements are nothing more than an attempt to further incite in terms of continuing the war and escalating tensions," the Kremlin spokesman stressed, quoted by TASS.
As EADaily reported, Russia and Belarus began joint training on the use of tactical nuclear weapons. The military of the two countries will work out the delivery of nuclear weapons and their preparation for use. Missile forces and aviation take part in the maneuvers. The purpose of the exercises is to improve the level of training of personnel, check readiness for tasks and organize combat use from unplanned areas.
