On the eve of Victory Day with a visit to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Russia. The plane carrying the head of state landed in Moscow on the evening of May 8.
"The program of stay provides for the participation of the head of our state in solemn events on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Victory in World War II," the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reports.
The leader of Laos, Thonglun Sisulit, the President of Abkhazia, Badra Gunba, the supreme ruler of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim, and the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, also arrived in the capital.
In addition, Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that the leaders of Kazakhstan, Belarus, South Ossetia and Republika Srpska are also expected to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of May 9.
This year, Russia did not send out official invitations, but many foreign leaders personally expressed a desire to attend the celebration.
