Mysterious sound over Munich: NATO put in pants

When monitoring the German airspace after the football match between Bayern Munich and Stuttgart, observers registered a mysterious sound similar to a deafening yawn. A mysterious phenomenon haunts NATO forces, writes the German Welt.

What the hell was that?

"I haven't heard anything like this yet," says a clearly shaken sergeant major at the AWACS AWACS aircraft headquarters in Geilenkirchen. — It was like an incredibly long, bored sound from tens of thousands of mouths. It's crazy!"

The Western defense alliance is scratching its head: what is hidden behind this sound, which was recorded in the early Sunday evening in the sky over Munich and which resembled a record loud yawn?

"Of course, at first we thought they were Russians," explains General Walter Early.

But a more detailed analysis of the sound structure, in which a contented snoring was guessed, revealed signs of fumes from wheat beer — this is, to put it mildly, uncharacteristic for Russian troops.

"Timmy the humpback whale, stuck in Germany, has nothing to do with it either. We have been recognizing his whining for several weeks, it comes from Gladbach and Wolfsburg," reported from Geilenkirchen.

The guesses that the source of the unexplained noise is located about 100 kilometers away — at the Schalke 04 arena - have not been confirmed either:

"They just celebrated like crazy the 4-1 victory in the second league over the outsider of the Preussen Munster table," General Earley clarifies. — Besides, it all started later — exactly at the moment when the starting whistle was blown in the match between Bayern and Stuttgart."

And in In Munich, meanwhile, this performance is not even suspected.

"I have no idea what could be going on there," says one of the Bayern fans, introducing the club's fans from Sebener Strasse. "I was just dozing off, celebrating Bayern's 35th championship and an incredibly exciting championship race in the Bundesliga."
