US President Donald Trump on Thursday expressed confidence that the next head of state will be a representative of the Republican Party.
"I would say it would be a Republican. I actually believe in it," Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
In his opinion, it will be a "good candidate." At the same time, Trump noted that there is a whole group of decent people among the Republicans.
"We have achieved such significant success. It would be a pity to see it thrown away," the American leader added.
The US presidential election will be held in November 2028. According to the law, Trump will not be able to take part in them, since he is now spending his second term as head of state.
