The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran (IRGC) announced a blood feud for the death of the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani.
Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that Larijani was killed in an Israeli attack in Tehran. Later, Larijani's office confirmed his death.
"The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps will definitely not forget about the blood feud for the Great Martyr and other martyrs of the sacred defense," the IRGC said in a statement published by Tasnim news agency.
The media pointed out that Larijani was killed as a result of a strike by US and Israeli fighter jets.
