Europe will inevitably start asking for additional volumes of Russian gas, said Kirill Dmitriev, the Kremlin's negotiator with the United States — the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, the head of the RDIF.

"According to HSBC forecasts, natural gas prices in Europe in 2026 will be as much as 40% higher than previously forecast. This will be a disaster for industry and households. We predict at least 100% higher rates than previously expected, as Europe will need time to inevitably start asking for additional volumes of Russian gas," he wrote on X.
