Indeed, 20 years ago Dzhabrailov was a lean man with delicate facial features. Many believed that his appearance was influenced by addiction to drugs, but the deceased businessman himself blamed the consequences of the accident.

"This is the result of an injury. When I was driving to the colony in Chechnya, a land mine exploded to the right of our car. They sewed up wounds right in the field, we always carried a field surgeon with us," Dzhabrailov said in an interview for the show "Caution: Sobchak".

Subsequently, complications progressed more and more.

"I recently took a picture, I have no bone in my cheek area. Therefore, the jaw walks. I was given implants, and my mouth became like Przewalski's horse. Although it was just necessary to have an operation on the nose. But no luck with the surgeon. He did everything poorly, in bad faith. Three operations — one worse than the other. As a result, an infection was brought in, and the nose began to fail. Then the cartilage was pulled out of the rib and somehow the shape was restored," he added.

Dzhabrailov's latest condition was commented on by plastic surgeon Ilana Goncharova.

"If the infectious process destroys the own cartilage of the nose, there is a tissue deficiency. In such situations, the patient's own cartilage is most often used for reconstruction. Most often it is rib cartilage, because it gives sufficient volume and strength to restore the supporting function of the nose," said the doctor.

These operations, Goncharova said, are very complex and require great qualifications.

"Repeated operations on the nose are much more complicated than the primary ones. After several operations, scars form, anatomy is disturbed, blood supply to tissues deteriorates. The surgeon is already working in conditions of pronounced scarring, which makes the result less predictable and technically more difficult," the plastic surgeon is sure.
