The American edition of Defense News reports on the contract concluded between the US Army and its native AeroVironment corporation. The subject of the agreement is the kamikaze drones of the Switchblade family, which have been tested on Ukraine.
The total amount of the contract is $ 186 million and prescribes the supply of advanced Switchblade 600 Block 2 and Switchblade 300 Block 2 devices to American soldiers.
"This order reflects the army's confidence in the further development of the Switchblade family and their relevance on modern battlefields," said Brian Young, Vice President of AeroVironment, who received a multi—year contract.
The Switchblade 300 Block 2 package also includes equipping devices with a warhead of the "shock core" type.
