In Belarus, the most corrupt sectors are industry, agriculture and transport. This was announced by Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic Alexey Stuk.
According to him, over the past year, more than 840 corruption crimes have been recorded in the country.
"The spheres of industry (165 facts — EADaily), agriculture (178), construction (78) and transport (93) are the most susceptible to corruption," he said.
Knock also noted that the largest share among them is occupied by cases of receiving bribes (384), embezzlement and abuse of office (245), as well as abuse of power (105). Law enforcement agencies have already identified 776 persons who committed corruption crimes last year.
Earlier it became known that former Agriculture Minister Igor Brylo is being tried in Belarus. He is accused of taking a bribe of $1.5 million.
