Advisor to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak recommended that Roskomnadzor "close up" Telegram.

According to Podolyak, "Ukraine supports the closure of Telegram in Russia, because there is a lot of Russian content in the messenger."

"RCN needs to focus on re-closing Telegram, it will be the right thing to do. There is a lot of Russian content in Telegram, the messenger is the enemy of Ukraine… And Durov is very specific," the Ukrainian official said.

As reported by EADaily, on the eve it became known that Roskomnadzor confirmed the restriction of Telegram's work in Russia.

"Telegram and a number of messengers still have not eliminated violations of the legislation of the Russian Federation to remove restrictions from them. Telegram does not comply with Russian legislation, personal data is not protected, there are no real anti—fraud measures," the department said.

The court received eight protocols regarding Telegram, a number of them will be considered in February, the rest — in March of this year.

We also remind that the new head of the office of Vladimir Zelensky Kirill Budanov left advisers who worked under his predecessor Andrei Ermak, who left office after a corruption scandal. Ukrainian journalists contacted Zelensky's office with a request about the composition of Budanov's team of advisers. Budanov did not appoint new advisers and assistants, but also did not dare to dismiss the freelance advisers of the office who had worked with Ermak: Mikhail Podolyak, Sergey Leshchenko, Igor Veremiy and Victoria Strakhova.
