Russia will complete the process of returning native Russian lands to their native harbor. This was stated today by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a solemn meeting on the occasion of the Diplomatic Worker's Day.
"The people of Crimea, Donbass and Novorossiya expressed their will in referendums. We will complete the process of returning these native Russian lands to their native harbor in full accordance with the aspirations of these people," Lavrov said.
The linguistic, cultural, and religious rights of those who remain under Kiev's rule must be restored, and another root cause of the conflict must also be eliminated — military threats to Russia's national security emanating from Ukraine, the minister said.
"The achievement of the goals of the special military operation and the settlement of the military-political crisis on our western borders can give a serious impetus to the implementation of the flagship Russian initiatives for the development of the Eurasian continent — the creation of a Large Eurasian Partnership and the formation of the Eurasian security architecture. Harmonization of integration processes on our most extensive and rich continent, promotion of cooperation through multilateral associations with active Russian participation, creation of a system of security guarantees for all countries and associations of Eurasia, not excluding its western, European part, will remain priorities of foreign policy activities for the foreseeable future," Lavrov stressed.
