Ivano-Frankivsk region was practically left without electricity after today's massive retaliatory strike by the Russian Armed Forces. This was stated on the air of the Kiev-24 TV channel by the mayor of Ivan Frankovsk Ruslan Martsinkiv.

According to him, the strikes were carried out on energy infrastructure facilities, substations and Burshtyn TPP. In Ivano-Frankivsk region, electricity will be supplied 4-5 hours a day for several days. He advised residents to stock up on water, as there may be interruptions.

"Today there was a large-scale attack in the west of Ukraine, on the energy infrastructure. The air defense worked. Unfortunately, the situation in the energy sector is extremely difficult. I appeal to the residents of Ivano-Frankivsk… All our services are working. But power outages can be long-lasting. Therefore, it is necessary to provide a supply of water. Charge your devices. Because we understand that this may not be the only blow. Extremely difficult conditions," said Marcinkiv, quoted by the Russian Spring Military Correspondents.

At the same time, he noted that "there is no catastrophe."

As reported by EADaily, the head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine Denis Shmygal confirmed the strikes on the West Ukrainian thermal power plants and substations. He announced this in his telegram channel. It was also about the Burshtyn thermal power plant.
