Analysts of the American edition of TWZ commented on the appearance of the Russian Mi-28NE "Devastator" helicopter in Iran. According to experts, this military equipment can become a modern replacement for the AH-1J International Cobra, which official Tehran acquired from Washington 50 years ago.
Columnist Joseph Trevithick recalled what appeared in The network in January 2026, the picture is no longer of the Russian, but of the Iranian Mi-28NE.
"New Mi-28 helicopters in any configuration would be a noticeable addition to the Iranian arsenal," he wrote.
Trevithick also recalled that no one in the whole world, except Moscow and Tehran, knows the exact number of helicopters purchased by Iran.
"Apparently, the helicopter is equipped with radar, which was not on some other export versions of Havoc. The photos show a partially disassembled helicopter, which also makes it difficult to assess its overall configuration," the observer said.
EADaily also previously informed that the United States was engaged in testing the "cheap" "Rusty daggers" promised to Kiev.
