The American edition of Military Watch Magazine published material that the "Geraniums" of the Russian Ministry of Defense destroyed the Soviet Mi-24 helicopter, indispensable for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is a very serious problem for Ukrainians, because, the source writes, the aircraft was very valuable.
"One of the destroyed targets was a Soviet-made Mi—24 attack helicopter, one of the most valuable types of air equipment in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is quite difficult to replace," the material says.
The source also recalled that, as of the end of 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had 45 such helicopters.
