Copenhagen and the EU should help Canada amid Donald Trump's threats to impose duties against it. This was stated in the social network X by a member of the Danish parliament Pelle Dragsted.
"Canada has supported and supports Greenland and Denmark. Now Trump is threatening Canada with 100% duties. Denmark and the EU should do everything possible to help Canada. All of us who are threatened by Trump should stick together and respond to his threats together," writes Dragsted, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The day before, the American president said that if Canada made a deal with China, then 100% duties would be immediately imposed on all Canadian goods imported into the United States.
Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney expressed support for the right of Greenland and Denmark to independently determine the future of the island.
As reported by EADaily, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stood between Donald Trump and Greenland and won. This was reported by The New York Times.
