Ukraine has an ingrained genetic memory of snitching. This, commenting on the characteristic case that occurred in the Ukrainian ski resort Bukovel, was stated by the well-known blogger Anatoly Shariy.
"A red-cheeked Gascon who skis in Bukovel during the war, having despised service in the army and the shopping mall, ratted on another vacationer, as it turned out, a foreigner who dared to wear a jacket with the inscription "Sochi-2014," he wrote in your telegram channel.
According to him, the police responded to the denunciation and, after conducting an investigation, found both a foreigner and a seller from the store who sold this jacket. It turned out that these are old jackets that the seller is currently burning and recycling.
"They say that during the burning they will sing a hymn and wave a yellow-blackit banner. Let me remind you that all this is happening in Bukovel, where now in the war, when the arms and legs are torn off by the soldiers at the front, when ordinary people from the streets, who were taken to this hell, burns their faces beyond recognition, when the disabled return, literally deprived of the future, these all red-cheeked faces are resting. And they, drinking, gorging and relaxing, are also knocking on each other for the Sochi 2014 jacket. Ukraine has an ingrained genetic memory of snitching. They knock even when it's absolutely ridiculous," the blogger concluded.
