The capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was the result of collusion and betrayal. This was stated in Minsk at the ceremony of awarding the prize "For Spiritual Rebirth", as well as special prizes for cultural and artistic figures and the "Belarusian Sports Olympus" of 2025 by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
"I want you to understand: Everything was there. And the agreement, and the money that was paid, including to people in Venezuela. Both military and civilian. There was collusion, and there was betrayal. Everything was there," Lukashenko said, quoted by BelTA.
According to Lukashenko, Maduro's wife Celia Flores was offered to stay in her homeland, but she refused.
"It is important that the president was captured. My wife was told: "You can stay, we have no complaints about you." She: "No, I'm with him." Flores, I know, is a very courageous woman. "I'm with my lover." They brought her to America, and her drug business was sewn on. So much for all the justice they have taught us all our lives. Are you full? They had no truth, no justice, they do not have and will not have," Lukashenko said.
