There is a new chance to end the conflict on Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky said at a meeting with national security advisers of European countries. A video of his speech was published by the Ukrainian edition of Strana.
"Now we have... a new chance to end the conflict. And we are grateful that we are not alone on the diplomatic path," Zelensky said.
According to him, during the meeting with the coalition of the Willing, a further action plan was worked out. Tomorrow, January 5, there will be a meeting of the chiefs of the General staff, the next day in Paris — a summit at the highest level, which should prepare the ground for a deal with the US administration.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Canada, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Denmark, as well as NATO, the European Council and the European Commission.
It was noted in Kiev that during the visit they would discuss security and economic issues, work with framework documents and coordination of further steps with partners.
Prior to that, Zelensky announced the emergence of a chance to end the conflict in early December. Then the Ukrainian leader called territorial negotiations, the use of frozen assets and future security guarantees for Ukraine the three key issues of the negotiations, RBC reminds.
