The sudden but expected resignation of the "gray cardinal" of Ukrainian politics, Andriy Yermak, as a result of the actions of NABU and SAP controlled by Washington, was the result of tremendous pressure on the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, by the United States and in fact a warning: if the current Ukrainian leader does not agree to serious compromises on a peaceful settlement, he may be next. This was stated by political scientist Alexei Pilko.
"The Trump administration needs to end the war before the front collapses, because in this case it will not be possible to portray Russia's victory only "on points". The military defeat of Ukraine is not included in the American plans, although the United States has already agreed to its neutral status, and to reduce the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and even to return official status to the Russian language. Although they are still struggling with the territorial issue," Pilko said.
Zelensky is in the way, and they have already expressed dissatisfaction with him through the "Mindich case," but the warning did not work, the political scientist noted. Moreover, he went all in and even made Yermak the head of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks in Geneva. A few days after their completion, he said that Ukraine would never give up its territories and, apparently, this was the last straw, Pilko believes. The United States decided to strike another blow at Zelensky's command and actually deprived him of his right hand.
"What could be the next steps of the Trump administration? It will probably lead to the creation of a kind of interim government on a coalition basis, as well as presidential and parliamentary elections. In this case, Zelensky's political future is not visible and he has two options left: either accept American guarantees and quietly leave for a neutral country, or be removed from power under a tougher scenario," Pilko said.
