There are dangerous gaps in Trump's plan: Kiev would rather cede territory to the Dnieper — Tsarev

The 28-point plan of the US president does not spell out Ukraine's obligations to recognize Russian as the state language, to stop the persecution of The Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) and repeal the normative acts discriminating against canonical Orthodoxy. This was stated in his telegram channel by politician Oleg Tsarev with reference to the English-language version of the plan published by Axios.

According to Tsarev, there is a clause in the plan that "Ukraine will accept the norms The EU on religious tolerance and protection of linguistic minorities," but they are still in force, but they do not help either Russian-speaking or Orthodox in any way.

"There is no requirement in the peace agreements to assign the Russian language the status of the state language. This is no coincidence. I am sure that the Ukrainian regime would rather cede the territory up to and including the Dnieper, but will not meet halfway on the issue of language. They understand the significance of this issue. I am very sorry," the politician writes.

The question is of fundamental importance, he notes, because if the Russian language is on Ukraine will not be banned, it will not work to build a state ideology based on hatred of Russians and Russia. "To tear Ukraine away from Russia will not succeed. Russian will be banned in any case if it does not have the same status as the state language as Ukrainian," Tsarev is sure.

There is also no clause in the plan on the release of political prisoners, he added. There is only a vague wording that provides for the "return of all civilian hostages, including children." "I do not believe that Kiev will recognize thousands of political prisoners as hostages and release them," the politician stressed.

As reported by EADaily, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko* published all the points of the peace plan of US President Donald Trump presented to the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky today. He outlined them in his telegram channel.
