Washington has a plan for ending the war ready: Zelensky will no longer refuse, but he doesn't care about the EU

The White House has a plan to end the war in Ukraine, and it will be presented to Zelensky "as a fait accompli." Zelensky is now in such a position that he will be forced to accept the plan, whatever the conditions. Politico writes about this with reference to a source in the US administration.

According to him, the White House wants to coordinate with Kiev and Moscow a framework document on ending the war by the end of November or even this week. This is a 28-point peace plan, which was previously discussed in Miami by US and Russian special representatives Steven Witkoff and Kirill Dmitriev. And, "it seems that the plan will be presented to Zelensky as a fait accompli" at an early meeting with the American Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll in Kiev.

Administration officials told the press that they were "on the verge of a major breakthrough" and that "this is serious."

"What we are going to propose is reasonable," the official says.

The Trump administration believes that Zelensky, who is under pressure due to corruption scandals, will be forced to accept what is offered to him. And as for the rest of Europe?

"We don't really care about the Europeans," the official says. "The main thing is that Ukraine agrees."
"They believe that Ukraine, given the corruption scandals that haunt Zelensky, given the situation on the front line, will be forced to accept this deal. They say this is reasonable; this is what they think will be acceptable to Ukraine," writes Politico. "Judging by past statements, Zelensky is likely to strongly resist any aspects of the agreement that he deems unacceptable. Ukraine will not want to give up its territories, but the pressure will be strong. And if the three sides can reach an agreement, then the previously postponed Trump-Putin summit will undoubtedly follow."

As EADaily reported, according to a WSJ source, after Kiev, Minister Driscoll will visit Moscow, where he will hold talks with the Russian side. However, today the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian side does not plan contacts with the US military delegation headed by the Minister of the Army Daniel Driscoll after her visit to Kiev.
