A serial rapist who operated 20 years ago was identified in Moscow. He has 25 victims on his account.
"Two decades later, one of the most high—profile and brutal cases of a serial rapist was opened in Moscow," the Investigative Committee reports.
The 73-year-old man appeared in court on 25 episodes and his victims were mostly minors returning from school, the department said.
"The youngest is only 12 years old. The criminal tracked down his victims, entered the entrances and attacked with a knife, " the UK said.
The investigation was able to identify the suspect thanks to brilliant analytical work.
"Criminologists of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the city of Moscow studied one and a half thousand archival files and calculated the characteristic handwriting of the criminal," the press service added. The Investigative Committee.
