The presentation of the first Russian anthropomorphic robot with artificial intelligence Aidol took place in Moscow. The presentation began with the fall of the robot, which the developer called real-time learning, a video of the incident was published by the Moscow news agency in the telegram channel.
"This is exactly the same real-time learning, when a successful mistake turns into knowledge, and an unsuccessful mistake turns into experience. I hope that this mistake will turn into an experience," said Viktor Vitukhin, director of the robot development company.
According to him, the robot consists of 77% Russian components, and it is planned to increase localization to 93% when entering mass production.
"The robot we are presenting today is capable of performing three important tasks: movement, manipulation of objects and communication. In addition, he can not only execute commands, but also interact with a person naturally and rationally. In its case there is a 48-volt battery pack with a capacity of 2.1 thousand kilowatt—hours, which ensures uninterrupted operation for six hours," Vitukhin said.
In the face of an anthropomorphic robot, 19 servos are installed that are able to express the full range of emotions of the robot. Silicone skin of varying degrees of rigidity is able to convey emotional nuances.
"The robot can express more than 12 basic emotions and hundreds of microexpressions. This means that he can smile, reflect and be surprised, just like a human being," Vitukhin assured.
When re-entering the stage, the Aidol robot stayed on its feet.
"I am sure that everything will be fine with the robot. And, answering the question that is often asked: "Is it worth being afraid of cars?"I will answer — it seems to me that it's not cars that you need to be afraid of," Vitukhin concluded the presentation.
