Russia has every right to defend itself and ensure its security. This was stated by the head of the party "Sarah Wagenknecht's Union — For Reason and Justice" (BSW) Sarah Wagenknecht.

"They started this war because they didn't want NATO soldiers and missiles on their border," she said on the German 2DF television channel.

According to her, the Kremlin has warned Western countries many times about the consequences of drawing Ukraine into NATO, but Russia's concerns have been completely ignored.

Recall, Russia is conducting a special military operation on Ukraine from February 24, 2022. Western countries condemn Moscow's actions and help Kiev. Earlier, Wagenknecht accused the German authorities of trying to bring the war with the Russian Federation closer.
