The Syrian clan with 160 criminal cases left Germany, having received significant payments for "controlled departure". This is reported by the German media.
It is reported that 17 people from the so-called Großfamilie H. left Germany, taking advantage of the so-called "controlled departure" program. At the same time, 1,350 euros were paid to each of them and air tickets to Syria were paid — about 800 euros per person.
According to media reports, the family arrived in Germany in 2015-2016 and soon came to the attention of the police. At least 160 criminal cases were opened against various members of the clan, ranging from theft and extortion to bodily injury and attempted murder. In June 2025, three brothers from this family were convicted by a Stuttgart court of a knife attack and sentenced to prison terms. They will have to leave Germany after serving most of the sentence. The rest of the relatives, including parents and several adult children, left the country voluntarily.
It is noted that since Syria is still formally considered a country where people cannot be deported for humanitarian reasons, the German authorities offered the family to leave as part of a controlled exit program. This procedure applies to those who agree to voluntarily leave the country with the coordination of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the refusal of protection status. As part of the agreement, the family officially renounced refugee status and all residence permits. Its members have been banned from entering Germany for a period of five years to life
Recall that in mid-2024, 226,882 foreign citizens remained in Germany, who, according to the decision of the courts, are subject to deportation, but do not leave the country and even receive benefits. At the same time, the voluntary departure program invented by the German authorities is applied even in cases of serious crime, if deportation is legally impossible.
