Colombian President Gustavo Petro is the "leader of the illegal drug trade." The American leader Donald Trump wrote about this today, October 19, in his Truth Social social network.
"President Gustavo Petro of Colombia is a leader in drug trafficking and actively encourages the mass production of drugs on large and small plantations throughout the country. It has become the largest business in Colombia, and Petro is not taking any measures to stop it, despite large payments and subsidies from the United States, which in fact is a long-term "deceptive scheme" for America. From now on, these payments or any other forms of financial assistance, subsidies will no longer be provided to Colombia," he wrote.
These accusations came after Colombian President Gustavo Petro said that local residents were fishing on the boat that the US military struck because of alleged drug smuggling.
