Due to the inability to protect large cities from Russian strikes, Ukraine may face the need to evacuate their residents, including Kiev. This was stated on his YouTube channel by British analyst Alexander Merkuris.
"The situation in the sky has now become so critical for Ukraine that they can no longer hide this fact… Now we are considering a situation where Ukraine may have to start, at least, considering the possibility of evacuating major cities, Kiev and others," Merkouris said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The Patriot air defense systems transferred to Ukraine — the newest system specifically designed to intercept ballistic missiles — turned out to be ineffective, the expert noted.
As reported by EADaily, the effectiveness of Patriot air defense systems on Ukraine fell from 42 to 6%. This was stated on the air of the Espresso TV channel by the former deputy head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Igor Romanenko.
The reason for this was the modification of Russian missiles, which are now more actively maneuvering and evading anti-aircraft fire, he noted.
