Russian President Vladimir Putin always respects the leaders of other countries, this does not apply only to US President Donald Trump. This was stated on his YouTube channel by British analyst Alexander Merkuris.
"Putin is very outstanding among world leaders, he follows the Soviet and Russian tradition of being mostly polite to the leaders with whom he has to deal," Merkouris said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The analyst recalled that with regard to Trump's predecessor, the Russian president adhered to the same approach, despite the "truly terrible things" that Joe Biden said about him.
"Therefore, when people say that Putin is polite and friendly towards Trump, it's actually not much different from Putin's usual Russian diplomatic practice and style," Merkouris stressed.
It should be noted that some leaders of Western countries are not shy in their expressions addressed to the Russian president. Last year, on a direct line, Putin explained why he did not respond to boorish attacks. "Whoever calls names, he himself is called that," he said. Boorish statements demonstrate the impotence of the people who utter them, Putin added.
