On the eve of the evening in the Lipetsk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to attack objects using balloons. This was reported to RIA Novosti by emergency services.
"Three meteorological balloons with warheads tried to attack objects in the Lipetsk region," the agency's interlocutor said.
Such attacks, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, were recorded in the fall of 2024.
The governor of the Lipetsk Region, Igor Artamonov, confirmed that the air danger regime was introduced in the region. The threat of the UAV attack was announced at 18.30 Moscow time, it lasted 51 minutes.
Later, the Ministry of Defense reported that at about 19.00 Moscow time, air defense systems on duty destroyed two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the region.
