Europe should not overestimate itself in resolving the Ukrainian crisis. This was stated in an interview with ZDF TV channel by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
"Negotiations have already begun. They will continue on Monday. And of course, the Europeans will play their part. But we also should not overestimate ourselves," said Merz, quoted by TASS.
"The unity of Europe is important," but the decisive role in the conflict, until further notice, "will be played by the United States of America," he stressed.
