The Ukrainian conflict will end with a difficult compromise. This was stated on the air of the Novini Live TV channel by the head of the Finance Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Daniil Getmantsev.
"I would not advise citizens to expect that we will get the borders of 1991. It is unlikely to be. These will be very difficult compromises. But they are very necessary, and the future of the country depends on them," Getmantsev said, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
Ukraine is open to any format of meetings for the sake of ending the war, the deputy stressed.
According to him, there are definitely signs that the process is approaching peace.
"There are already signs of real requirements from the Russian Federation, not fictitious, but real. The USA has them. This creates a certain basis for agreements," Getmantsev added.
