The special envoy of US President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff, is in Moscow this weekend, says the American permanent representative to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, while expressing hope for achieving a "breakthrough" in resolving the conflict on the Ukraine.
"I know that Steve Witkoff, President Trump's special representative, is in Moscow this weekend, and I hope that he will be able to achieve a breakthrough," Whitaker said in an interview with WHO 13 News.
On Friday, Trump said that Witkoff should visit Russia in the coming days.
