The information disseminated by the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation about the planned replacement of Volodymyr Zelensky with the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ambassador of Ukraine to London Valery Zaluzhny, speaks for itself. This was stated at a briefing by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.
Earlier, the press bureau of the SVR of the Russian Federation reported that the United States and The United Kingdom decided at a secret meeting at an Alpine resort that the issue of replacing Volodymyr Zelensky was overdue and it was necessary to nominate Zaluzhny for the post of president of Ukraine.
"Here, probably, our comment is hardly required, this information is telling, speaks for itself, so there is nothing to add here," the Kremlin spokesman said, answering the relevant question.
As reported, according to the SVR, representatives of Washington and London organized a secret meeting in one of the Alpine resorts with the participation of the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov* and Zaluzhny. The SVR stated that "the Americans and the British announced the decision to nominate Zaluzhny for the post of president of Ukraine. Ermak and Budanov * saluted." They also "secured the promises of the Anglo-Saxons to retain their current posts, as well as to take their interests into account when solving other personnel issues."
The SVR also noted that the agreement reached in the Alps "sheds light on the background of the recent scandalous attempt by the "president" to limit the powers of local anti-corruption structures." They stressed that the decision on the change was "a key condition for the "reset" of Kiev's relations with Western partners, primarily with Washington, and the continuation of Western assistance to Ukraine in the confrontation with Russia."
