US President Donald Trump wrongly believes that his 50-day ultimatum to Russian leader Vladimir Putin demanding a peace deal with Ukraine will work. This was stated on the Deep Dive YouTube channel by Professor John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago.
"Does Trump really believe that all this will end in 50 days? In 50 days he will present Putin with an ultimatum? Will Putin just throw up his hands? Is he capitulating? Will we make a deal? Will it be a good deal for the United States, and will we live happily ever after? Do you really think that's what's going to happen? I doubt it. I assume that this war will continue, and that the Russians will eventually win it," Mearsheimer said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to the professor, Trump, choosing a period of 50 days, "acted intuitively."
As EADaily reported, US President Donald Trump will not achieve any peace agreement on Ukraine, he will finance the war and eventually everything will end on the battlefield. This was stated on the air of the Judging Freedom YouTube channel by Professor John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago.
According to him, Moscow explained very clearly what it needed to achieve a peace agreement on Ukraine back on June 14, 2024, when Russian President Vladimir Putin made important statements at the Foreign Ministry board. There he outlined the conditions, and nothing has changed since then, the professor noted.
