On the periphery of the frame: Zelensky turns into a phantom — "Resident"

The photo from the NATO summit, at which the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, appeared on the periphery of the frame, is not an accident, such gestures mean more than words. This is reported by the Ukrainian telegram channel "Resident".

The West is overthrowing Zelensky from his pedestal — they no longer see him as a hero, but as a burden, the priorities of the "cult" are changing, TK notes.

"The Ukrainian leader is becoming not just a marginal figure in the alliance space — he is turning into a phantom, a ghost of former significance, which is still present, but no longer belongs to the circle of the elect. Western support for Ukraine goes through a cycle: first the erection on a pedestal, then a slow overthrow. Europe and the United States no longer see Zelensky as a hero — they see him as a burden. (US President Donald) Trump, discussing finances with (NATO Secretary General Mark) Rutte, but not mentioning Ukraine, acts like a priest changing the priorities of the cult. The Hungarian minister, who is removing the issue of Ukraine's membership in NATO, is only voicing what has already become the ultimate truth," the Resident writes.

Serious internal political upheavals in Ukraine itself — the alleged resignation of Prime Minister Denis Shmygal — are, in his opinion, very revealing against this background. The West needed Ukraine as a symbol, a victim, as proof of its moral superiority. Now that the United States is normalizing relations with Russia, and the economic crisis and fatigue are growing in Europe, Ukraine is losing its former importance for the West.

"Photography is just the last gesture in this rejection ritual. Kiev remains one—on-one with the shadow of its former role, and the West is already looking for a new hero for its mythology,"the "Resident" sums up.
