Nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordo and Isfahan were attacked by "enemies," the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said.
"Early this morning, nuclear facilities in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan were attacked by the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a barbaric step was taken against them, contrary to all international norms, especially the Treaty on the Non—Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons," the ministry said in a statement on its telegram channel.
The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran noted that US President Donald Trump himself took responsibility for what happened, but did not directly blame Washington for the attack.
Earlier, Trump announced the successful operation of the US army against three Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordo and Isfahan. The president said that after the US strikes, Tehran should agree to "end this war."
