Iran is trying to overload the Iron Dome system, said Sky News correspondent in the United States Mark Stone, commenting on the massive ballistic missile attack on Israeli territory.
According to him, the shelling "clearly shows Iran's goals."
"The task is to try to overload the Iron Dome air defense system, which has to be manually recharged again and again… This system can be overloaded. We have just seen several cases on video where this really happened — some ballistic missiles reached targets in Tel Aviv," Stone said.
According to media reports, Iran launched about 300 ballistic and hypersonic missiles towards Israel on the evening of June 13 in response to earlier Israeli strikes on Iran.
Israeli air defenses, including US aircraft, repelled part of the attack. At least seven strikes fell on Tel Aviv.
