Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense Roman Kostenko announced the likelihood of a large-scale strike from Russia on the night of the next day.
According to him, intelligence regularly transmits warnings, including he personally received such messages in the last two days.
"We understand that the enemy is preparing a strike, but it is difficult to accurately predict the moment. According to reports, the attack may take place this night," the deputy said on June 5.
He pointed to growing concern after a conversation between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, during which Putin said that there would be a response to Kiev's terrorist attacks on Russian territory.
"Will the Russian Federation strike back? I have no doubt — 101%. The question is how they will do it. Regarding the strike with "shaheds" and drones, then, on the one hand, they could sell it at home as an answer, but they still want to show it to the world community. Perhaps it will be a blow to the decision-making centers, perhaps to the government quarter," Kostenko said.
On June 1, Ukraine conducted Operation "Web", during which five Russian military airfields were attacked in the Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan and Amur regions.
