The Kremlin called Vladimir Zelensky's statement insulting the negotiators sent by Moscow to Istanbul "awkward, unsuccessful."

"This is an embarrassing, unfortunate statement. This does not correspond to the spirit of negotiations," said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, answering a question from journalists.
