Mike Waltz has left the post of national security adviser to US President Donald Trump. This is reported by Fox News channel.

His deputy Alex Wong also lost his position.

"Michael Waltz and his deputy Alex Wong were fired on May 1, 2025," the channel reports.

As EADaily reported, the scandal broke out after senior officials of the US presidential administration revealed details of the upcoming military operation in Yemen in a closed group of the Signal messenger. By mistake, Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, was added to the chat, to whom secret information became available.
