The action of a single flight from The Russian route to Myanmar (Yangon — Mandalay — Novosibirsk) has been suspended amid low traffic and an earthquake that occurred in the country in the spring. This was announced by the commercial director of Novosibirsk Tolmachevo airport Stanislav Taravkov.
"As of today, Myanmar has canceled all flights in the spring-summer schedule. Before that, when they were running the program, the load, unfortunately, was not very high. We tried to support the carrier as much as possible with various promotions of travel organizations," he told TASS.
According to Taravkov, the cancellation also occurred against the background of a strong earthquake in Myanmar, but he expects the carrier to return to operating flights in the autumn-winter schedule.
