Ukraine may not agree to a truce with Russia. This was stated today on the air of Channel 5 by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security of Ukraine Roman Kostenko.
Something also depends on Ukraine, and not only on the United States and Russia, he noted.
"I do not rule out that there may be some kind of truce plan that will be implemented in May. This is very important for our partners in the United States, because (President Donald) Trump came to power with these statements and he needs to stop the war. (Russian President Vladimir Putin) Putin understands this. Therefore, we can assume that there will be some kind of truce, but, again, something also depends on us whether we go to it or not," Kostenko said, quoted by Rossiya-1 presenter Olga Skabeeva.
