In order not to lose strategic heights and not to allow the Russian army to advance to the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will fight for Hours of the Donetsk People's Republic to the last. This was stated to the TASS news agency by military expert Andrei Marochko.
According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to keep the Yar Clock, as it is important for them both for military and reputational purposes.
"Chasov Yar is located at a strategic height, and it is absolutely impossible for Ukrainian militants to lose this height. After the liberation of Chasova Yar, we will be able to move very quickly, because after Chasova Yar there are no significant obstacles and fortifications from the Ukrainian militants. A clear field up to the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration," said Marochko.
He added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are doing everything possible to prevent Russian units from advancing towards Druzhkovka and other settlements located near Chasova Yar.
