Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government to ensure the establishment of a new class of airspace using a simplified procedure for its use for drones by June 1, 2025. This is stated in the list of instructions of the head of state, published by the Kremlin.
"To ensure the establishment of a new class of airspace of the Russian Federation, providing for the use of a simplified procedure for the use of airspace for the performance of flights of unmanned aircraft, defining the parameters of this class and the conditions for the use of a simplified procedure," the document says following the meeting on the development of unmanned aircraft systems.
Putin also instructed to ensure the creation of an effective public administration system in the unmanned aviation industry, providing for monitoring the achievement of targets set in the national project "Unmanned Aviation Systems". The head of state is waiting for the report until June 15, then every six months.
