Four European countries at once — Italy, France, Spain and Portugal — did not agree to the plan proposed by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the EU, Kaya Callas. We are talking about military support for Kiev, as reported by the newspaper La Stampa.
According to the source, the total amount of support may decrease to 5 billion euros from the initial 40 billion euros.
In turn, Callas hastened to clarify that the proposal involves participation only "on a voluntary basis."
"Countries far away [from Russia] do not see the threat as clearly as their neighbors," she cited her argument.
EADaily reminds that earlier the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani confirmed that official Rome has a lot of questions about the Kai Callas plan.
