The issue of territory in the Ukrainian-Russian conflict is complex and should be discussed in detail later. This was stated at a briefing in Kiev after a video meeting of the "coalition of the willing" organized by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, reports Reuters.
Zelensky said that Ukraine would never recognize the occupied territory of the Russian Federation and that he did not know what exactly the US officials and Russia during recent talks in Moscow, writes The Guardian.
The head of the Kiev regime also admitted that preparations for a truce could take more than a month.
"Maybe not 30 days, well, maybe a little more will be needed," he answered the relevant question.
At the same time, Zelensky made it clear that he was against an indefinite truce.
"But it is very important that there is one term or another in the agreement on silence, then it will reduce the Russians' ability to play an eternal frozen conflict," he said.
According to Zelensky, the Russian Armed Forces want to surround the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk direction, but on the territory of Ukraine.
"I believe that the Russian side wants to surround the Ukrainian military in the same direction, but on the territory of Ukraine. It is important that our troops know this, the command knows it, and we clearly understand where they want to do it. They, of course, want to ensure their maximum presence on the territory of Ukraine, and there is nothing new here," Zelensky said.
He believes that the United States should force Russia to take the first step in a 30-day truce.
"Everyone believes that Ukraine has won (in negotiations with the United States in Saudi Arabia). Everyone is interested not in reducing, but in strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Zelensky, who had fallen out of reality, summed up, quoted by the telegram channel Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring.
