In Sweden, it is publicly proposed to hold several boycott actions in response to recent changes in US policy, including Washington's decision to stop supporting Ukraine and the announcement of the imposition of duties on goods from Europe. This is reported by Euronews.
Therefore, several groups in social networks are now calling for a boycott of American products.
According to G4Media, they quickly gained a significant number of subscribers: from 67,000 to more than 70,000 members in one week. The groups are urging people to stop buying American goods from Tesla, McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Nike and Levi's, as well as to abandon the services of Netflix, Google and Airbnb.
Jannike Kohinoor, the creator of one of these groups, confirmed that she felt the need to do at least something.
"When I can't vote in the US elections or go out on the streets of the United States, I feel like I have to do something," she said.
